We will inform you shortly before your domain and hosting are due to expire. After these dates, you are free to transfer the domain and hosting away from us, and we do not charge for this service. If you do decide to transfer away from us, then there is around a 7 day downtime or space of time where your website and email will be offline and will not work whilst the transfer is taking place.

Alternatively, we offer competitively priced hosting solutions for only £5 a month, paid on a monthly basis or in advance, including 5 email addresses and 1gb storage space. We can also renew your domains for you for the following prices per year: £10 for a .co.uk domain, £16 for a .com domain, £17.50 for a .info and £15 for a .net or.org domain. Please note that these prices are subject to change due to market conditions, however we will of course notify you of any changes as soon as possible.
To place an order with us, firstly please ensure that you have researched the legal and copyright implications of your name, images and any content or material you wish to use for your website or business stationery.

Secondly, please contact us by telephone or email and we will arrange to meet you to discuss your requirements. During the meeting, you will be given information about what all of our services include as well as prices. Following the meeting, we will send you a Sales Quotation which will state the services quoted and the prices. You need to agree to this Sales Quotation in writing before we can proceed with your project. We will then send you an invoice for either the full amount or a proportion of the full amount which should be paid within 14 days of receipt of the invoice.

The next step is to pay for our services - You can pay by cash, cheque, Paypal or online bank transfer. Our terms of payment for website packages are: 50% in advance on agreement of the Sales Quotation, and 50% on completion before the website is due to go live. Our terms of payment for business stationery is 100% in advance to cover the costs of purchasing your stationery and delivering it to you. Payments for business solutions depend on the service offered and will be explained prior to commencement of the project.

We will then carry out the work, keeping you informed along the way, and probably asking for approval and assistance when building your site. It may be necessary to hold another meeting to discuss progress. The cost of this will be included in the price of the service ordered (unless your premises are more than 5 miles from Torquay). Once the work has been completed, we will send to you for final approval. Once you have approved your website or service, you will then need to pay the final installment before your files can be released.

All files and any work carried out remains the property of Daffodil Solutions until final payment has been received. Once we are in receipt of full payment, all files, passwords and work carried out become your property as the client, and we will send any relevant FTP/access passwords to you, and offer a copy of your files on CD if required.

The Client's website will be hosted using these third-party services, and Daffodil Solutions agrees to provide an FTP account for the Client if necessary, so that they have access to their website during the initial 12 months included hosting period. Before this period has finished, the Client will be contacted by Daffodil Solutions to inform them that their hosting package will soon expire.
It is the Client's responsibility after the initial 12 month hosting period to either purchase a hosting solution from Daffodil Solutions or transfer the domain to their own hosting provider. Daffodil Solutions agrees to release the domain, website files and provide all passwords required to the Client so that they can transfer the services to their own provider should they wish to do so. If the Client opts to stay with Daffodil Solutions on a monthly rolling hosting contract, they agree to pay Daffodil Solutions the sum of £5 per month for this service until the service is cancelled in writing by either the Client or Daffodil Solutions.
  15. Website Security - Every effort is made to ensure that Client's websites are safe and secure, including choosing strong passwords for FTP services. Daffodil Solutions cannot be held liable for any incidental or consequential damages which may arise from a security breach or "hack" on the Client's server due to third-party server security, vulnerabilities in third-party software or weak passwords chosen by the Client.

Upon the purchase of a qualifying website package which includes a free .co.uk domain name for 12 months, Daffodil Solutions will register this domain name on behalf of the Client, using the Client's name and business address. Before the 12 month free period has finished, the Client will be contacted by Daffodil Solutions to inform them that their domain name will soon expire.
It is the Client's responsibility after the initial free 12 month period to continue with the registration of the domain name. This can be done via Daffodil Solutions or they can re-register and transfer the domain to their own hosting provider. Daffodil Solutions agrees to release the domain, website files and provide all passwords required to the Client so that they can transfer the services to their own provider should they wish to do so. Please note that these prices are subject to change due to market conditions (see note 3). If the Client fails to transfer their domain to a new provider or pay for a domain package via Daffodil Solutions before the domain expires, the domain will be automatically cancelled and Daffodil Solutions will be unable to retrieve it for the Client.
Please note - If the Client decides to transfer the domain away from Daffodil Solutions, then there will be a delay of approximately 7 - 10 days to transfer over, during which time the Client's website and email services will not be available. Daffodil Solutions cannot be held liable for any delays or losses which may occur from the transfer of domains or hosting to another provider.
